Many passengers in my car have commented on my Delphi SkyFi XM Radio receiver and have been impressed by what it can do. My wife was so impressed that we bought the boom box adapter for it and she took it to the hospital when she had our baby. XM's local repeater enabled my wife to listen to her favourite tunes whilst buried deep in the bowels of the hospital, well away from the satellites.

At home I run an XMPCR computer controlled receiver. The only problem with this device is that I stoill get analogue audio out of it. A 3rd party upgrade kit is available to enable a TOSlink (fibre) output. As soon as I can lay my hands on it I'll install one.

UPDATE: July 2004:    I managed to get an TOSLink adapter for my XMPCR. What a difference!!!

I'm running the ReplacePCR software on my machine. This allows me to control the radio from any PC anywhere on the network or even the internet. I'm also able to upload the song information to this webpage. The white banner underneath the XM logo at the top of the page gets updated every 10 seconds.
