I have an APRS system installed in my car (see my $100 APRS tracker page) which not only reports my location to the rest of the radio world but can also send my location details to the Internet.
In the States I cannot use my UK callsign so I'm know by the call letters NI2O. My car's radio callsign is NI2O. If you look for me on a radio map of the US you will see my little pin in the New York area. Just look for the house symbol that keeps moving.
If you are reading this page as a result of seeing my tracker advertise it and are thinking about sending me an email moaning about my house symbol; don't. I know already! You would not believe the amount of email I get from people complaining about my house symbol and how it moves. In the world of APRS the symbol that represents you can be many things. The idea is that one selects a symbol that most closely resembles the thing being tracked. Due to a software bug in N6BG's TinyTrack software (which is now fixed) a house symbol was uploaded into my tracker rather than the SUV (Land Rover) symbol I had originally wanted. The thing has been in there so long now that I'm not sure I'd remember how to change it even if I wanted to; which I don't.
Below is a map that will show you where my car (currently a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan) is currently located. Normally during the week it sits at the train station but at the weekends I can be found all over the place. Just look for my NI2O pin on the map below for my whereabouts or click on my car for a better map. The map will update every minute or so.
